as we begin this new year with resolutions of “self-improvement” let us do so not out of self-criticism, disgust, or hate, but with love! 

a love for the miracle of this body and this life as it is, as we are, right now. 

let us make friends with ourselves and extend a warm, welcoming heart, a tenderness for who and how we are in this moment and all the potential we have ahead.
