we don’t have to stay in our fear. we don’t have to allow that fear to influence how we see or treat others. we don’t have to celebrate greed & division as goal or strategy. we don’t have to live from a place of anger. we don’t have to accept cruelty & destruction as the status quo. we don’t have to stay lost in the dark or out in the cold. for the most part & for the majority of us, these are choices, & we can practice choosing differently.

we can practice choosing to come back into the light & warmth, to value empathy, & connection. we can practice opening into awareness & open-heartedness. we can keep choosing to be love, over & over again, even as many choose differently.

if we feel like we can’t do much in this moment, we can do this – we can be love. we should not underestimate how powerful this is. we can choose to be love, & maybe this is just the start for us, & maybe this is enough.
