sometimes it feels like those who align with cruelty, harm, & destruction have the upper hand, that they are winning the race. it can be easy to become cynical & give space to thoughts of defeat. but a world already suffering doesn’t need cynicism, it needs love. it needs people willing to keep their hearts open despite what they see or feel, willing to do good in the world, help & heal even when all seems lost, simply because it is needed. love meets us where we are, & the world in its need. while cruelty, harm, & destruction blindly race toward their envisioned finish, love wins the marathon. sometimes slow or even seemingly unseen, but always steady, persistent, resolved, & aligned with life.

so however dour things seem, however we may feel, we do our part. 

we do good anyway.
