cruelty is lazy. it requires nothing of the people being cruel, other than surrendering to the basest part of their nature. cruelty places the entire burden on its victims. it exchanges authentic relationship for dominance. this is the opposite of love, which requires work, requires us to make a choice to not harm, to engage our creativity, our hope, & our energy, to actively be in relationship, committing to serving others & our world for the benefit of all.

we are seeing a lot of cruelty right now & absence of love, from many in power.
