today is Palm Sunday, the start of Holy Week for Christians. i grew up with these stories, but it wasn’t until fairly recently that i started to read a fresh perspective on just how revolutionary Jesus’ journey & teachings were/are, especially in regards to upending our personal & institutional ideas around power & empire. a message that can benefit us (& challenge us) even now. here’s a such a take on the “triumphal entry” Palm Sunday story.
