Posted @withregram โ€ข @bbcnews Sir David Attenborough told world leaders at the COP26 climate conference that the future of young people should provide impetus to “turn tragedy into triumph” on climate change.

The naturalist said: “In my lifetime I’ve witnessed a terrible decline. In yours you could – and should – see a wonderful recovery.”

The burning of fossil fuels and other industrial activities jeopardises “everything we have achieved in the last 10,000 years,” he said. “We are already in trouble, the stability we all depend on is breaking.”

“This story is one of inequality as well as instability. Those whoโ€™ve done the least to cause this problem are being the hardest hit.”
